A simple night out on the town turns into a seemingly endless adventure when Nick (Michael Cera) meets Norah (Kat Dennings) for the first time. Heartbroken after a recent breakup, Nick is convinced by his band mates that playing a gig in the city is just the thing to take his mind off of his loss. After a run in with the very ex he is trying desperately to get over, Nick finds himself face to face with Norah who in one night, single handedly turns his life upside down. A wild goose chase to locate a secret concert and a lost friend takes the pair all over the city, where they find their pasts unfold before their very eyes, and discover that their futures may be just a little different then they had planned them to be.
