Pulled out of retirement, driver Frank Martin (Jason Statham) has a choice: take over the job of the guy that just blew up inside his house, or die. The job entails safely shuttling kidnap victim Valentina (Natalya Rudakova) across Europe and fending of anyone who gets in their way. And Valentina isn't just any girl, she's the daughter of Ukranian politician Leonid Vasilev (Jeroen Krabbe). Assuring Frank's commitment to the job is a special bracelet now affixed to his wrist; an explosive device programmed to detonate should he get too far away from his car and the girl. Employing the occasional help of his good pal Inspector Tarconi (Francois Berleand), Frank's driving and fighting skills are put to the test as he races to transport his package. |
