Tuvia Bielski (Daniel Craig) is one of several brothers living during WWII. They are Jewish and trying to hide in a forest while they build up a group of people who will save the lives of more than 1,000 Jews before the end of the war. Zus (Live Schreiber), one of his brothers, is not as idealistic as Tuvia is and thinks they should be more aggressive. Tuvia comes to realize that Zus might be right because things are so desperate and dangerous. Tuvia and Zus continue to clash with each other over who will lead the group and how they will conduct themselves morally. |
