Armored car bank robbers, Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck), James Coughlin (Jeremy Renner), Albert Magloan (Slaine) and Desmond Elden (Owen Burke) all have been like family for ages. Everyone has a past as everyone has a family member who has run off or ended up in jail. They all live in the run down suburb of Charlestown. The foursome decides they’re going pull off one last big heist before retiring. All of them have plans, Doug is planning to run off with Krista Coughlin (Blake Lively) and everyone else. The heist goes smooth and they even take a hostage, Claire Kessey (Rebecca Hall) who they release unharmed. Things tend to get awkward when they realize she lives right in their back yard.
