"The Lincoln Lawyer" is the quirky story of a defense lawyer, Mick Haller (Matthew McConaughey) who works out of the mobile office of his Lincoln. Mick has an excellent track record of success in his previous cases save for one case he lost long ago. When Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe) is accused of rape by Maggie McPherson (Marisa Tomei), Mick is hired to defend Roulet only to discover as he digs deeper into this case that it may be linked to his one blemish upon his record. As Mick digs deeper he is led into a seedy underworld of money laundering and other criminal activities as the key to all this mystery is within the notes of a Detective Lankford (Bryan Cranston). |
